Organizing Friday {Week 11}

After I cleaned up that wrapping paper and gift stuff I just kept going, had plenty of room to get the craft stuff done!

It wasn't horrible before but hadn't been done since we moved.
I was being a little more brutal with purging. For example, there is no way I am going to use all those beads for bracelets, it's already too late for some of the beads, the outfits have come and gone.

I kept just a few things for birthday parties and was able to send a whole bag full to charity.

Not sure what to work on next, it's supposed to be 70 degrees here today, I won't be doing anything today other than playing with the kids outside!

How do you organize craft stuff? Have a whole craft room?

Little Back to School Banner

Well I don't know what happened to the other one :(
I am not quite finished with all the bins in the garage, hope I find it out there cause I really liked that one!

But since I hadn't found it and time was running low anyway, I made a new one!

It's a super simple one but I love the vintage (not THAT vintage though) library cards!
I just hole punched them and used some ribbon to thread them together.
Some die cut letters and it was done.

I will for sure have to use some more of these library cards in my back to school party!
Might have a few sneaks this week.

Happy Monday!

Bathroom Update Sneak

I am having a really hard time finding what I am looking for! I knew there would be some things I would need to make anyway, thought I would share 1 little sneak.
It's backwards cause I had to take it from the mirror ; )
And yes I did re use this from Finnleys lumberjack party!

But I had to make 2 more for the big ones

Upcoming Project!

I shared a little bit of our kids bathroom a couple years ago HERE
when we hubby added the bead board and pegs. Then the subway art I did HERE
I am pretty much not loving the look in there, it doesn't match our kids personalities or the rest of the house, and it's a little on the feminine side. I kept trying to add the darker colors and stripes but I am still just not loving where it's headed.
Some before pictures

So it's time to sell that setup and do something that is more US!

I picked a couple things up today and I am going to be using some party props from a previous party. Need to grab a few more things and do some crafts to get it all done!
Can't wait to show y'all!

St.Patricks Day Decorations

Not completely done and I definitely need to come up with some more,
but I wanted to share what I have so far!

I don't like to do everything overboard holiday, sometimes it's just the color I like and the color is enough!
Here is the kitchen stuff

Love this little nobby bowl! Planning on making the Potato Candy to put in it!
Just picked up these adorable glasses at IKEA. They always have the cutes stuff!

I don't have a lot of other stuff
Some green candles, and mossy birds

 Little leprechaun
Some subway art (which I need to find more of)
the burlap and scrapbook embellishment clover I made last year (wow that is a bad photo)
Just a tiny bit of rainbow

I think I need to pull out one of the white boas for the mantle too!

What do you all do? Making anything new this year?

And in case I couldn't find anything else to do (yeah right)
I scored this stack of 80's Better Homes and Gardens for $3, should give me some distraction for a while!

St.Patricks Day Wreath

I am just starting to pull stuff out and see what I have, seeing things I totally forgot about!
I knew I needed another wreath. I didn't want to spend any money. But I did end up spending $1 on a wreath at Dollar Tree. Everything else I already had. It's not perfect but it's good enough.

I am trying to learn that good enough is better than not at all. I struggle with being a perfectionist and so a lot of things I want to do just don't ever get finished cause I can't get them exactly the way I want.

I got up on time today so I am already done with chores today. Hoping to get some more crafting done and work on St.Patricks Day stuff out!

Hope you are all having a great Fat Tuesday!

Figured since I have seen this on Pinterest about 50 times in the last week I might want to share again!
I did this last year and hope it made it the year in storage!
Check out the details and how to HERE :)

I'm getting the decorations out next week!

Valentines Banner and Decorations

Like I said before, I'm not really feeling the Valentines Day thing this year, but I had all kinds of paper, and glue and bakers twine leftover from the Birthday Parties that I thought I might as well make something.

I used the cricut and cut out the banner pieces and letters, then just glittered the letters and stuck them on with the mounting tape so it wasn't as flat, used bakers twine to string it up.

Here are some of the rest of this years stuff, nothing too exciting!

In fact I didn't like this XOXO thing AT ALL anymore, it's drying right now!

And this is missing the mailbox I usually keep in the middle, pretty sure the little boy has figured out if he slams the door it falls off and he can play with it, stinker.

I think we will be making some Thank you cards!

Here are some clever or cute ones!

I think I want to try and make a few (so we have some on hand) I am LOVING how cute these are!

Those just might be my inspiration!

And I think we probably need to make some kind of cookie! It's been a couple weeks since we made cookies and I know just the people we could say thank you to!
These are SOO cute!

Halloween Cuteness on Pinterest!

I thought I was a little ahead of the Halloween game, guess not since my Pinterest home page has been flooded with Halloween stuff! And I've seen a few party ideas already too. I am SO ready for Halloween stuff, but I don't want to put it out until after Finnley's party!

I don't like to do the exact same thing every year, so it's always a little different and I try to weed out a few things every year that I just don't love anymore. I didn't really realize how much it has changed over the years until I started checking out THESE posts!
I can already see things from 2 years ago that I just don't even like anymore.

I usually don't know exactly what I will need, if anything, until I actually get everything out. But I want to keep all those cute Pinterest ideas just in case I do need something. These are some that are specifically black and white.

I love how easy this would be too! Looks like its just some puffy paint on a plate! And although I was really looking for black and white I like how the shutters pop! The source wasn't listed..
This one is from Martha. I love the cake pedestal with the black and grey pumpkins!

Better Homes and Gardens. LOVE the rhinestones!

Love the black and white candies! Martha Stewart

here is some more, from Hostess with the Mostess

Love the tree branches in this and it's mostly black and white. Stltoday.com

This is so different! I like the succulents and typewriter, since neither are really associated with Halloween. I like the unexpected or unusual.

I like the shabby chicness of this one, the bunting and the chalkboard shapes! source

New England Fine Living has all kinds of party goods in black and white

This is such a cute set up! The lollipops and silver pumpkins! LOVE it!
Urban Comfort has SO much other stuff!

All these are making me really want to get them out now. But I am resisting, well for now anyway. I AM going to check out some thrift shops today and see if I can find some treasures!

Who else loves Black and White for Halloween?
